This spring my hubby and I expanded our back garden. These pinto beans are growing where we expanded the area. Okay, so I bet you are wondering where I was able to find my pinto beans right??? Well, I opened my jar that I have in my kitchen. Yep, you heard me right. I grabbed a few nongmo beans to see if they would sprout in a damp paper towel. In a few days they did.
The next day I went out to the garden and planted a nice large row. These are growing really well. I am looking forward eating some and canning the rest. Pinto beans can be added to many recipes. Gives you some added protein and filler in whatever meal you are creating.
