Well, it is now 2025 and a few small events went on with our quiet Christmas. We had ham and 2 veggies and homemade rolls. My hubby wanted me to make some Bread Pudding. I found a simple recipe online and used 8 slices of my homemade French bread.
Super simple ingredients and I did use less sugar than the recipe calls for. If you need a nice simple dessert to make, this is it.
Bread Pudding
6-8 slices bread, fresh or day old
2 TBS unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut up the bread slices into smaller pieces, place in a 8 inch square baking pan. Drizzle melted butter over bread and sprinkle raisins over top. Wisk milk, sugar, eggs, cinnamon and vanilla together in a medium mixing bown until well combined. Pur mixture over bread, and lightly push down with a fork until all bread is covered and soaking up the liquid. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and the top springs back when lightly pressed, about 40-45 minutes.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!
