This meal is one that has no recipe honestly. I have several of those. No measurements. On my meal plan calendar was turkey pie. Well, I had 2 pork chops in the refrigerator that I needed to use. Making a pot pie whether with protein or just veggies really is simple.
Basic Ingredients:
Some type of protein
A little bit of chopped onion, celery, potatoes, jar of canned carrots (can use fresh)
Corn bread crumbs (from a batch of corn bread I had in the freezer)
Salt, pepper, chicken broth
Combine the vegetables, spices and some water in a pot. Let everything cook till soft. Thicken the broth with a little arrowroot powder or cornstarch. Let thicken. Pour in casserole dish. Add sorn bread crumbs on top. Cook in oven at 375 for 35 minutes or bubbly. Cornbread topping will be browned.
